Hi, I’m Alan! I can’t wait to help you achieve your language learning goals.

Dr. Alan Huang, PhD, is the founder of Innovo Languages & Consultancy from the UK.

Alan holds a doctorate in Language Education from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. His PhD was fully funded by the University of Edinburgh (£79,000).

As a language teacher, teacher trainer and university professor for over 15 years, Alan has taught English and Mandarin to speakers of other languages. As a university professor, he also teaches education and linguistics theories to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Scotland.

Alan is a language enthusiast himself. He speaks English, Mandarin, French, Spanish, German and Italian. He believes that language learning empowers people and enables us to have a better understanding of ourselves and the world.

Alan also loves travelling, cooking, exploring the outdoors and learning about new cultures.

Alan has extensive experience in curriculum design and development. He led the development of BA (Hons) Education & TESOL, MSc TESOL & Intercultural Communication and International Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.

Alan has a broad research interest in language education, teacher professional development and educational technologies. He has published his work in peer-reviewed academic journals and books. A selection of his recent publications below:
